On June 23, 2016, the US Supreme Court had a 4-4 deadlock in U.S. v. Texas. This means that the expansion of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA+) and Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents (DAPA) remains blocked.
The ruling does not directly impact the original DACA program launched in 2012. Previous DACA approvals are not affected, and future applicants will still be able to apply for DACA under the 2012 eligibility requirements.
